Care & Repair for a Smaller Environmental Footprint
We continually work to reduce the environment footprint of our garments through considered design and improved production practices. The way clothing is worn, washed and cared for also plays an important role in extending its life and reducing impact. Below you’ll find practical tips and simple guides to help you care for your City Collection garments.
GENERAL GARMENT CARE

WASHING LESS OFTEN
Only run your washing machine with a full load - it uses just as much energy for a half load as it does for a full done. Wash only when needed - spot clean or air garments to extend wear between washes.

COLD WATER
Wash in cold water - it cleans just as effectively while using less energy.

GREEN DETERGENTS
Choose an environmentally responsible detergent - plant-based, biodegradable and low in sodium and phosphates. Avoid bleach and opt for natural stain-removal alternatives.

REDUCE PACKAGING
Reuse old containers and refill at your local store where possible, or choose brands that offer refill options.

AIR DRY
Skip the dryer - air dry flat or on a hanger in the shade. It’s gentler on fabrics and uses no energy.

DRY CLEANING
Dry cleaning uses strong chemicals, so it’s best avoided where possible. If necessary, choose an accredited green dry cleaner.
